How to Talk About Sex And How You Make Your Sex Enjoyable:

There are so many things you can do with your mouth to make sex more enjoyable; talking is at the top of the list. Here are some pointers that might make the discussions go more smoothly:

• Start by talking about sex in subtle (making use of clever and indirect methods to achieve some thing) ways. For example, over dinner conversation mention topics in the news that involve sexual issues. Or say something like: “I just saw an interesting story in a magazine about people who abstain from sex because they are so afraid of AIDS. What do you think of that?” That way, you'll be talking about sex, without getting too personal right away.
• Make sure it's the right time and place to talk. Too many people wait to talk about sex until they are in the heat of passion. Or they bring it up when one of
them is tired, distracted, drinking, or at some other inappropriate time. You should talk about it when you are both awake, not fooling around, not drinking and you have time to talk.
• Think about what you want to say first. That way at least one of you will be prepared for the conversation.• Talk about your feelings rather than talking about how you think your partner
feels. Use “I” statements. For example, say “I feel lonely when I want to kiss you and you want to pull away.” Instead of saying, “You must be afraid of intimacy (an intimate act, especially sexual intercourse) because of the way you pull away from me when I try to kiss you.”
• Be positive. Don't tell your partner, “I hate it that we make out so much, but we never go all the way.” Instead, concentrate on the things you like first, putting a positive spin on it: “I love the way it feels when we make out. I think it would feel even better if we went all the way.”
• Be specific, honest, and explicit. If you want to ask your lover to get tested for a sexually transmitted disease, don't beat around the bush and say, “I waswondering if you're safe.” Be direct. Say: “Even though I still want to use condoms, I think it would be a good idea if we both got tested for sexually transmitted diseases. Will you do that?” Or if you want to tell your lover that you have orgasms more easily when you're on top, then don't say something like, “I like to have sex in any position.” Say: “Anything is fine, but I orgasm best when I'm on top.” You should be able to talk that explicitly with your partner so that you can get what you want out of sex.

• To make sure you understand each other, after you partner speaks, paraphrase back to him or her what you think he or she just said. That way you can double check that you are not misinterpreting anything, and get clarifications when necessary.
• Ask a lot of questions if you need to discuss or negotiate a topic. It will help you resolve the real issue. Such as if your partner says your kissing could use some work, try asking, “Is there anything I can do to make it more appealing when I try to kiss you.” Or “Do you think you know why you don't like kissing me.”
• Once you know what your issues are, try to talk about your options. When it comes to sexuality there are usually several ways to resolve issues. Discuss them all, then compromise about what will work best for your relationship.

This might all seem like a lot to remember when all you want to do is have a conversation about sex. But because sex can be an embarrassing and awkward (causing or feeling uneasy embarrassment or not smooth or graceful)subject for so many people to talk about, these tips will really help. Also, the more you talk about sex, the easier it will become.

Q: I am 25 years old. As a child, I took a fall that left a wide scar (a mark left on the skin or with in body tissue after the healing of a wound or burn) on my left eyebrow. I use a pencil on it every day to hide it. Can the hair in that area be re-grown? Is there a solution other than using an eyebrow pencil? Nazia Hassan

A: Scarred tissue destroys all the hair follicles in the area, so re-growth is not possible. But you need not live with a cut in your brow or have to pencil it in every day. There is permanent method of introducing safe pigment of mineral and vegetable origin into the upper layer of the skin. An anaesthetic gel is used to numb the pain. The pigment (a dry powder which constitutes a paint or ink when mixed with oil or water ) used is deep brown as opposed to black, which may leave the scar looking blue-green. So go ahead and get rid of your scar permanently.
Q: I am a fair, 20-year-old with red, flushed skin. Occasionally, I get pimples, though they appear mostly on my nose. The ones that have appeared in the last few months, however, are refusing to go away. They have also changed the shape of my nose so that it looks bumpy and large now. Please help. Mehar Bukhari

A: You are suffering from rhinophyma (medicine plastic surgery performed on the nose) , which causes your nose to appear uneven because of the hypertrophy (phsiology enlargement of an organ or tissue resulting from an increase in size of its cells) of the sebaceous glands (a small gland in the skin which secretes a lubricating oily matter (sebum) into the hair follicles to lubricate the skin and hair); it happens in longstanding cases of rosacea (medicine a condition in which certain facial blood vessels enlarge, giving the cheeks and nose a flushed appearance) . It also explains the flushed, red appearance of your cheeks. Sensitive people are more prone to the condition. Keep aggravating factors like stress, sunlight, hot food, hot baths, coffee, seafood under control. As for treatment, your doctor may start you on a course of antibiotics and topical applications, or prescribe other medication after doing some tests. Don’t worry, the condition is completely curable (make healthy again after suffering from a disease or medical condition).
Q: I am going to Sweden for a holiday. Since it will be cold there, how do I care for my skin? Do I need to use sunscreen? Saira Bano

A: You will surely need a sunscreen to protect your skin from the UV (ultraviolet) rays, more so in Sweden because the rays there reflect off the snow and cause more damage. Reapply the sunscreen every two to three hours. Besides that, carry a good moisturiser to save your skin from dehydration. Enjoy your holiday.

Beauty Issues

Q: I am 31 years old, unmarried. I am in good health but I have freckles on my face. I tried many products and consulted dermatologists (the branch of medicine concerned with skin disorders) too but to no avail. Please help me to suggest some home made tip to get rid of these. Kate Garry Hudson

A: Freckles may be described as flat, round, dark coloured spots that range in size from about 2mm to 4mm. Freckles could be the result of pigment precipitation in one particular place, as generally the skin, surrounded by the spot is lighter in colour. Freckles are sensitive to the UV (ultraviolet) rays and hence appear more prominent during or after exposure to sunlight. Here are some natural remedies that will help you deal with freckles. Apply sour cream on your face. Gently wipe it off with a soft tissue and top it up with a moisturiser. Lemon juice is a tried and tested remedy for treating freckles. Apply lemon juice with your fingers on the affected area it bleaches the dark spots.

Q: I am getting married in about one year and worried about my complexion that is very dull. Beauticians suggest me that night creams and facials are good for me. Can you tell me a little about these creams and facials? Jennifer Garner

A: There is a variety of whitening products and facials, nowadays available in market. Your beautician would suggest you what kind of products or facials are necessary for your skin type by assessing you personally. We can also provide you with the same but for this you have to visit us personally.

Q: My daughter is 4 years old, her hairs are too rough and dry. I give her hair a regular oil massage but everything turns useless. Please tell me what should I do to make her hair look healthy and shiny? Maria Wilson

A: Hair is made up of keratin (any of a group of fibrous proteins forming the main structural constituent of hair, nails, feathers, hoofs, claws and horns) , a type of protein. They tend to be the body’s barometer that indicates good or poor health. There are three types of hairs that grow on the human scalp and dry hairs are one of them. Here is a tried and tested home-made remedy for dry and frizzy hair. Try this out. Add two tablespoons of gram flour (besan) in a cup of coconut milk. Apply it on scalp and hair, massage gently. Leave it for about five minutes and rinse. Mix a teaspoon of honey with 4 cups of warm water and apply on hair, after shampooing. Honey acts as an intensive moisturiser for hair. Do not rinse and let them dry normally for extra-shiny, sweet-smelling and soft hair.

Q: How often can I dye my hair ? Zohaib Hassan

A: Hair can be coloured as long as the hair fibre is strong and the scalp is not sensitive. If hair is spongy or breaks easily, use a semi-permanent hair colour formulated for damaged hair. Also, begin a rigorous conditioning programme immediately. Generally, touch-ups should be done after every four to five weeks, depending on the growth of hair.As soon as you find that the roots have started looking different from the rest of the hair, it is time to go in for a touch-up.

Q: I mix together sandalwood, milk, lemon, grass serum, rose water and orange scrub but when I apply it on my face I feel itching. It is also very difficult to keep it for a few hours. I am a student and I have more outgoing activities, what I should do to keep my skin fair and to maintain its glow. The paste I applied is beneficial or not? Amna Haq

A: You didn’t mention the amount of each ingredient you mixed and what was the consistency of the mixture you applied, either way you might get some kind of allergic reaction from any of the component that is used. You can find whatever the cause of your skin allergy is by recalling which ingredient you used for the first time. To prevent your skin from becoming blemished and wrinkled, keep yourself safe from the sun rays. Mix some sunscreen with your moisturiser and apply it on your face before stepping out. Do this every day, even in winters. If you have to be out in the sun for long, wear a hat or carry an umbrella to shield yourself from the sun rays. If your skin is tanned, use lemon on your face. Lemon contains ascorbic acid which acts as a natural bleach. It removes tanning naturally and makes you fairer. Take a raw papaya and mash it to pulp. Apply the pulp on your face once in a week to make your skin soft and smooth.

Q: Please suggest a home remedy for the removal of facial hair. Kiran Khan

A: Mix some milk or curd into some ground chickpea. Add to it a pinch of turmeric powder. Keep the consistency of the paste thick. Once the paste is ready, apply a thick layer on the face and neck region. Leave it to dry and then rub off the paste till it starts coming out. The fine hair will be peeled away with the paste.

Some Information About Having Sex

Once you know that you want to have interesting and amazing sex with someone, you need to be able to get what you want. And what better way to get what you want than to ask for it?Sometimes a back
rub is just a back rub, not a sign that you want to have sex. That's why you need to talk about sex! What happens if you've talked about sex, even had sex together many times, but now when you're ready for sex, your partner is happy to just go to sleep? Sometimes problems occur when you and your partner are out of sync in the sex department. However, there are ways to talk this through, so you can get what you want out of your sex life.

The Things You Should Talk About Before You Have Sex :

You're about to share the night, your bed and your body. First, you need to share some information with your prospective partner. If you ask honest questions and give honest answers
about sexual health and protection, and about your sexual interests, then this will bring you closer together, as you will be learning intimate things about each other. Following are some of the things you should talk about before you have sex.

• What sex means to you emotionally, and how it will affect your relationship.
• How often you like to have sex, and what types of sex you want to have.
• How you feel about your body, and what ways you especially like to be touched.
• How you feel about monogamy, cheating and if you will be faithful.
• What kind of birth control you will use.
• What kinds of condoms you will use for disease protection.
• Whether you want to get tested for sexually transmitted diseases.
• How you would handle an unintentional (not done on purpose) pregnancy.

If you both agree on these things when you talk, then you may be sexually compatible. Yet there may be several of these issues that you will want to discuss not just to find out if you are compatible, but also to find out what to expect from your sex life together.

You obviously need to talk to your partner about sex before you ever have sex.But there are many other times when you also have to talk about it, such as if you think you might have a sexually transmitted disease, or if you want to try a sex act that you've never done before. So for your sexual health and happiness, you should talk about sex as often as necessary.
